All too often we go about life wondering where, when and how to begin. I arrived at that crossroad a couple of years back and began a search which has led me to my present life circumstance. Recently I found myself at a similar crossroad and decided to give DG’s education a shot. I attended the first free seminar and some lights turned on for me.
I subsequently paid for additional enlightenment and attended the 3-day workshop in El Paso. As enjoyable and as enlightening as that was, many questions came to mind and my head began to spin as B.L.M. described the many different options and combinations there are to do deals.
Of course, there were additional educational opportunities for purchase to follow that event. I knew that I needed the additional knowledge to begin, but at such a high premium, I obviously had some reservations. After thinking about it for half a second, I fortunately was able to come up with the funds to become an “Advanced Student.”
The three weeks following the 3-day workshop preceding the BOG in El Paso were wrought with guilt and anxiety. Not because I was second guessing my purchase and decision to move forward, but because I was unable to complete all of the assignments to prepare for the BOG because I got in my own way.
This weekend I attended the 3-day BOG with a great group of future successful REIs and was mentored by two very inspiring people, G.H. and C.F. Although I wasn’t prepared for the BOG, the last 3 days were exciting and feel much more confident and prepared to succeed.
Although I am excited and believe in this program, I for some reason have reservations in my ability to find buyers. We were given many ways to find buyers and it makes sense that one should be able to find buyers by using the methods taught, but why do I have a hard time picking up the phone and calling someone?
Tomorrow is when I begin de novo and hope to be able to do an assignment deal before the military ships me out the end of this month. Any encouragement and/or advice will be greatly appreciated.

What you will find as you walk down the road of real estate investing is finding a great deal that your buyers want is harder than finding the buyers. Mark my words 2 years from now. Real deals are harder to find than real buyers.
Also, as far as 3 day training etc etc. Does a doctor get trained in 3 days or 10 days. When he graduates do they hand him a scalpel and say here you go? Does a pilot learn to fly in 10 days and then they say here is your 747, go for it?
It takes time to build your team and learn this business in the real world. So keep at it!
If you are thinking of more education, I highly recommend Dean's success academy. Great on line classes and coaches you can call at any time. Plus they offer 100% money back if you do 5 deals in 12 months. I did and they definitely refund the money. I got my full refund. 12 months of education for free!
Good luck!

It's amazing how 10 days get by you so quickly. I last posted perplexed with my inability to find buyers. I am still perplexed by that, but I was able to attend a local REIA and was able to network. One thing that I am very excited about is I recently joined the "Inner Circle" and am looking forward to learning more and moving forward with speed and focus.
