The begining.....

In 2008 my husband bought into Deans success academy. He was very excited to dive in so he bought some land and built a stick home in 101 days, but it took him 9 months to get his building permits!! (OUCH) If you know anything building or the permits you know that it should never take more than about a month.. That being said the reason it took him so long to get the permits is because the nation was in the middle of a buying and building frenzy! When he started this whole plan my husband already had his buyers picked out and everything seemed as if it was going to play out just fine. But during the 9 months that it took for him to get his permits the RE market started taking a turn for the worse. When the buyers got wind that the maket was changing they backed out of the deal. So now Jeff (my husband) is stuck with a BEAUTIFUL top of the line home that no one can afford to buy. Now he is in a rut he was not only making the payment on our home now but he was making the payment on the other house as well. Finally after 2 1\2 years a buyer finally persent from a different agency. They are very interested and would love to buy the house BUT the RE agent failed to tell them to lock in there interest rates and the rates drasticly went up so the buyers backed out... So now for the second time jeff has failed to close the deal. Eager to sell and terrified of going under with his what was supposed to be an early retirement fund and every thing he has worked so hard his entire life for, Jeff found the sellers that backed out the second time made them an AMAZING deal and found them the loan that they needed to purchase the house and locked them in with an intrest rate that was unbeleivable at that time. So he takes all of this to his agent and sets it all up as a short sale. Well the agent has no idea what a short sale is, jeff had to negociate his own SS with the buyers, he then had to use the equity in our home to pay the difference on the loan because it was an investment property. He lost about 100K in the whole process. This was supposed to change his life for the better and it almost took him for everything he had. Needless to say he was not totally excited about jumping back up on the horse again. This was before i came into the picture. So fast forward a year or so and thats where i come in. I met Jeff and we started dating in `09. He had told me the story about what had happened and said that even though he had not had the best experiance with this he wanted to try again so we farted around with it some until i went to work full time to help pay the bills. The RE was on the back burner we had given up untll just this August. We recieved an invatation to a private meeting for about 50 of Dean's members so we decided to go and our roller coaster has taken of from there. We have been to vegas edge buying summit been to LA for the Inner circle training, bought a ton of learning materials, started our buisness and got our asset protection plan set up and are building our way to a bigger and brighter future together.... We are currently working on our buyers list and have yet to close a deal but we are making sure that our foundation is good and strong before we jump in unprepared.
